Limerick city was now and again classed as a trade union town, stemming back from the 1950s up to the 1990s when it was preferred by most to be an employee and work for somebody else. The opening of Limerick University in 1973 produced a welcome group of engineers and fresh industrialist to the city. The appendage of the National Technological Park and others has also helped smooth the way for those looking to develop their dreams and to build home-grown companies.

However, in recent years, it has become harder to run ones own business. There is a ton of rules to be complied with. Especially if one wishes to take on additional staff one has to find out about employee rights etc. There are also insurance issues for the workplace and for the products offered.

We now have a rich mix of capable individuals and established traders, which create possibilities for non-nationals to come here to find job vacancies limerick and to take part in the quest for success.
