Household chores were never meant to be a one woman show. If your kids are staying with you during daytime, where you mostly get your work done, ask them to help out in everyday tasks around the house. When they’re done, you and your kids can cook lunch and have time to eat together. Not only is this beneficial to you, it will also help your kids become more responsible and mature.

If your kids are too young for chores, you can consider hiring a nanny or a teenage babysitter. Let’s face it. No matter how much you want to mind your kids 24/7, it’s just not possible especially if you have a deadline to meet or if you have a really important client call. Having someone watch over your kids for a few hours can give you a few more hours to catch up and finally finish your work.

Procrastinating has never really done anything good to anyone. The sooner you finish your work, the sooner you can play with your kids and have some alone time with your husband. If you get your job done quicker, your family will be more grateful and happy. Running a business and taking care of your family at the same time is tiring yet fun. Working at home can be more enjoyable if you can manage to spend most of it with your family. Be patient and maintain a regular schedule with your work and your family and after a while you’ll be controlling your business like a pro.
