Drinking coral calcium tea might seem like a good solution to getting all the benefits of the calcium and minerals your body needs but, in fact, it is not as good as a pill or supplement. If you are coral calcium tea drinker it is important for you to know that you are only benefiting from approximately 2% of the marine coral’s nutrients which is dissolved in the water of the tea. Basically you are drinking coral water.

When coral calcium is mixed with water there are changes that occur which are both physical and chemical. The alkalinity of the water goes up which in turn makes its PH level higher and helps to balance the PH level of the body. The coral calcium changes the oxidation reduction potential of the water. Still the fact is that there is not enough of the coral sand in the tea bag to produce fast physio chemical change. In case the tea bags did produce these rapid changes then it is possible that they have been treated by adding other strong alkalinizing substances such as calcium hydroxide or other oxides of alkaline metals.

Taking coral calcium in the form of a capsule or powder is much more effective than drinking coral calcium tea.

It is estimated that there is ten to fifty times the mineral nutrients in one capsule of coral calcium, depending on the brand and type of tea bag and capsule. Rest assured that the minerals are vital to our health and an important part of the much touted health benefits of coral calcium.

But this tea, often called coral water, still has many medicinal purposes and is considered a homeopathic treatment for many aches and pains. Its benefits are derived from the mineral enrichment of the coral water and the coral calcium that lived in it. In addition to the calcium, there are a variety of minerals each of which is important for our health.

So, you see, there are benefits associated with drinking coral calcium tea, but it should not take the place of dietary calcium supplements. Supplements can be found in pill and powder form but be sure you buy from a reputable supplier and check with your doctor before adding them to your daily regime.
