If you find you have some sluggish times at your coffee shop in the afternoons during the week or even the weekend you can change that. Consider hosting tea parties there and you will pickup more business. Many adults will come in to gather and visit with each other. You will find young girls that aren’t old enough for school yet can join in during the week as well.

You can choose to have these tea parties weekly a couple of afternoons, every other week, or once a month. As soon as people start to find out about them you will have no trouble getting enough people to sign up for a reservation. Your coffee shop tea party may even become the place for a princess birthday party for some lucky young girl.

You can make these tea parties as elaborate or as simple as you want them to be. The focus needs to be on offering girls, moms, daughters, and even fathers who want to spend a few hours with their little girl a nice experience. Make sure you advertise for our tea parties so people can make plans to attend. Let them know if it is will be casual dress as well.

Make sure you advertise the menu for your tea party as well. Guests will want to know if they are only going to get drinks. You may choose to offer that alone with many different types of tea. You can choose to offer sandwiches, desserts, or both to complete the tea party as well. It is important for your guests to know what to expect will be waiting for them when they arrive.

The number of people you will be able to accommodate for such tea parties will depend on the size of your coffee shop. The way your tables and chairs are arranged should be taken into consideration. You don’t want people who attend your tea party to be crowded. Should you have more people that want to attend than space you can let them know you will try to schedule more events soon.

You can choose to offer some types of entertainment at the tea party as well. You can get free entertainment such as a violinist who needs some publicity as well. Even if you have to pay a small amount of money for such entertainment it could turn out to be a very good investment. If you don’t have the room for this or the budget you can buy some CD’s with great music to pipe into the area for your tea party guests.

Talk to your staff before hand to let them know about your tea part plans. Many of them will have ideas you can implement. They need to understand what their role will be in it as well. They may be perfect for working behind the counter but need some training in how to effectively work in this new set up.

If you haven’t considered using your coffee shop for hosting tea parties you may want to give it a try. It isn’t going to be difficult to get into motion and they should get a very nice crowd drawn in. Many of these adults may not have come to your coffee shop before. There is a very good chance they will start coming in on a regular basis as well as for future tea parties.
