There are always developments being made in the skin care industry for anti aging. The public wants to fight aging, and this industry is helping us do it! Discoveries are constantly being made of ingredients with impressive results. Effective ingredients that help minimize wrinkles, tighten and tone the skin. The results of applying these products with these effective ingredients can often start to show in as little as 2-4 weeks.

DMAE - DMAE is an acronym for dimethylaminoethanol, which is a substance that naturally occurs that stimulates a substance of phosphatidylcholine, an important component of cell membranes. DMAE is used in antiaging skin care creams to reduce facial sag by tightening the skin giving it the name, “facelift in a jar”.

Other skin care ingredients can help with dry and wrinkled skin, but the best they can do is moisturize. Even though many have vitamins, even that is iffy. The best skin care ingredients are the ones that moisturize the skin to help it remain moist and supple. Though this might not take care of wrinkles, there really isn’t much yet that can. The best way to avoid these its to take care of the skin from within with a good diet and by drinking plenty of water.

Selenium - Selenium can be an important ingredient in skin care products as this antioxidant mineral makes the skin have more elasticity. Selenium will also help prevent skin cell damage with free radicals. Selenium can prevent skin cancer because it protects the skin from the damaging effects of ultraviolet light.

Wrinkles are a fact of life, but some get them worse than others, and some can be prevented. Just remember to see through the hype when thinking about skin care ingredients so you aren’t spending a lot of money on a product that does not do what it claims.
