I really have not been able to talk on my web site half as much as I might like, because of the fact that I’ve been dealing with my pops manage his super nutball midlife crisis. True, some would argue it isn’t as far out as it could possibly be. You see, what he did was he got all done up like the Fonz, and storm over to my house and tell me, in his hippest tone of voice: “Get ready, dude, we’re going out vying for some classic Ford Mustangs. That’s right, dude, I’m all set to get myself a real cruiser.”
Before I knew what was happening my Dad and I were off to a few of those wild classic car lots that I’m just about convinced are mob-run, and I stare in wonder my dad wrote a check on the spot, for an unnaturally sparkly classic Ford automobile. It’s an intense piece of machinery. It sounded great as well.
You’ll notice I phrased that last sentence in a past tense. It had a great sound right until it seized up completely. My Dad tells me that it is just a easy thing to fix and that all it will take is the right part. Only thing is, it’s not as painless to get your hands on 1968 Mustang parts as it was over three decades years ago, but he swears there is a really big availability for them to this day. the the easiest way to find parts for classic Ford Mustangs is by way of internet auctions, since you can find them all refurbished and occasionally better than new. They’re only sometimes super-cheap, though… Think about it, we’re talking about half-century old Mustang parts.
Not as bad as some midlife crises, I suppose. He could have decided to buy a mail-order bride.
