Are you trying to lose fat or lose weight - or both? There are many out there who lose weight only to still look fat - just smaller. Perhaps you are one of those people and have decided this time you will get serious with a fat loss program.

Losing fat is difficult and can seem like an unreachable goal. Learning why you are fat may help you to keep it simple and help you to have an easier time losing fat and keeping it off.

Changing any habit including diet is hardest during the first few days. This is normal for anyone. The problem arises as intense cravings take over. On top of this, we are bombarded with the marketing of light foods or fat free foods that do not work. Often, these foods are no better than their regular counterparts. (Think about it - will “light baloney” help you lose weight?)

In America, 68% of the population is obese, creating an epidemic. This trend is not lessening, but growing. We blame it on poor diet, genetics, hormonal imbalances and a general lack of self-control. All of these can be factors in having excess body fat or weight gain. Modern diets and weight loss drugs are not working if the problem is growing. It is time for a new way of thinking.

Simply put - you have been misguided with wrong information. We have all been given wrong information for years. For example; calories are what makes you fat. So if you eat less calories, you will lose weight. But what if your diet is only 1200 calories but these calories are in the form of cookies? See the flaw? You may lose some weight, but not fat.

Another lie you have been told is that all fats are bad. This has been so ingrained in us that there are still those who think avocados make you fat. We know better now - there are different kinds of fat. Good fats are necessary for good health and if you don’t eat them you risk health problems such as hormonal imbalance, depression and even heart disease. The truth about fats is that you need the healthy fats like the Omega 3’s and 6’s to help you lose fat.

The worst of the misinformation you’ve been told is that your body can cleanse itself. A “board certified nutritionist” even claimed that you can eat what you want and your body can cleanse out what it doesn’t need. This statement should make you angry. We know better than that. He is trying to convince you that if you eat what you don’t need including excess fat and calories, your body will eliminate it.

This is proven wrong every single day. Too many people are overweight and can’t lose fat. This is because if you eat too many calories, your body doesn’t eliminate them. Your body stores them! In addition, it is not just a matter of calories. It is the kind of calories that also counts.

Many foods are processed and laden with chemicals used to process them. In addition, the body doesn’t have genes encoded to know what to do with these man-made chemicals. Why is this bad? It is a known fact that toxins from chemicals and even heavy metals are stored in fat and the fluid surrounding fatty areas.

The truth is that your body cannot cleanse on its own. The reason is that putting too much burden on the body, such as stored chemicals, will cause your body to not be able to perform its job of eliminating excess waste, or cleansing. One reason may be that recent studies have found some toxins interfere with our endocrine system and may even mimic hormones.

Now for the disgusting news - humans are animals and all animals get parasites. We want to believe that because technology is so advanced and chemicals are abundant that we are immune to this problem. If this were true, then why wouldn’t we be immune to virus and bacteria? We know these exist and harm us, for even though we cannot see them we take precautions using anti-bacterial products or take antibiotics to fight them.

Parasites are a health issue that the medical community has ignored. It is an unpleasant subject and many of us simply don’t want to hear it. Unfortunately, ignoring a problem will not make it go away. Cultures have been using forms of dietary parasite control of centuries. You see some in modern day habits such as chewing pumpkin seeds, serving wasabi and ginger with raw fish and taking garlic cloves on a regular basis. It is only with the advent of recent technology that we have decided to stop using these preventive measures.

So think about it - why are we addicted to junk food? Why is it so hard to overcome cravings? If self control is the issue, wouldn’t mankind have died off due to eating ourselves to death? Here’s what is really happening; parasites excrete waste into our bodies. Some doctors claim this waste can accumulate in and around the hypothalamus throwing it off balance and inhibiting its function. This in turn will cause your body to store more fat.

If you are serious about losing fat then you need to eliminate what is making your fat. Cleansing your body and taking herbs for a parasite cleanse can help many people. You can help your body cleanse by eliminating junk or processed food, eating more fresh vegetables, fruits and unprocessed whole grains and drinking plenty of fresh water. When used properly, this type of program can help you stay healthier, younger, have more energy and lose the fat for good.
