Lots of people want brand name clothes but simply can’t afford them. Some will find what they want by constantly revisiting consignment shops and seasonal sales just in case someone has sold their designer items.

But you have to be realistic: you aren’t likely to find wholesale name brand jeans or urban wear in the exact style or size that you want at a yard sale, goodwill or even a consignment shop. You would be lucky to find a store that has new clothes at wholesale prices. But “wholesale” often means having to buy a “lot” of the same items, especially all the clearance items. Most of us do not need several dozen of the same jeans and 30 of the same shirt.

The good news is that if you do a web search for wholesale brand name clothing on your favorite search engine you will find two very good things. One is that even real wholesale sites often have special pages or special websites setup just for individuals and will sell single items of name brand designer clothing at very close to wholesale. The other thing you’ll find are sellers offering wholesale prices and no need to buy in bulk.

Some clearance or wholesale sites specialize in particular types of clothing and other accessories. These might be designer clothing, urban or hip hop clothing, leather clothing, and other accessories such as exotic leather handbags and wallets.

For the enterprising shopper, there’s even a way to get your dream garment wholesale and turn a profit. There’s some risk but one possibility is to buy small lots of very attractive garments from wholesale designer clothing sources and resell them through online auction sites like eBay. These are good items to sell at “Buy Now” prices that allow a little profit for you but are still big savings over retail.

You can even co-op with friends, family or co-workers who like some of the same kinds to buy small lots and split the price. This can be combined with auctions to add to the savings. Remember that some wholesale lots may be huge, into the thousands, but designer lots may be much smaller and are often fewer than 10 items or even less. You won’t know unless you look!
